Hellebores

We are experiencing an excellent crop of Hellebore blooming (earlier for us this year 2011) at our flower farm
·         January last year, brought us some great exposure through Martha Stewarts January 2010 issue of “LIVING” magazine. Article ; Hellebores: Beauty Blooms In Winter (Get a copy and check it out!)
Think of it: What other gardener can gather bundles of flowers to take the edge off when winter is still technically in residence? Or if you prefer, float a single hellebore bloom in a glass, the promise of a gardening season about to awaken.
(Excerpt and picture taken from a prior article in “Living magazine)

More of my customers are seeing the beauty and the uniqueness this flower can offer their customers, something out of the ordinary.
·         Hey Jim, Thanks for all your wonderful product. It lasts so well in our arrangements and it is just beautiful. You guys are the best!
Here is some more information on the lovely Hellebore that we grow.
These flowers could also be used for a refined, little centerpiece.

Winter Flowers: Lenten Roses
Flower Care Instructions
When you receive your Hellebore flowers from me, trim a bit off the stems and immediately plunge the stem ends (1/2”) into hot water containing a floral preservative for about 15 seconds. Then put the flowers up to their necks in cool water for a few hours or overnight before arranging. With fully hydrated stems, they will last about a week, maybe longer if you keep them cool at night.

We get 15, 5 stem bunches per ¼ box 40”x8”x8”.
Each 5 stem bunch of hellebore would give you the size of a single bloom of Hydrangea.

The Hellebore bloom in all the following colors White/Cream, Light Lavender, Green, dark wine, there are no blues.
