These roses turned out to be a surprise beauty. They are a very deceiving color at first but open up to a very pretty yellow color. The petals have so much character! What do you all think?

Here is a photo of a Thanksgiving Centerpiece one of our customers created here in the shop. It is made with a pumpkin base, Sunflowers, Snapdragons, Pumpkin Tree, Rose Hips, Bupleurum, Matsumoto Asters and Sword Fern. Very cute!

The pictures don't fully capture the beautiful subtle green of this rose. Green Tea is a softer shade of the green Jade rose. Green Tea has a nice size head and a classic rose shape. Let's see how they open!

Employee Spotlight
Luke! This week we are spotlighting one of our drivers. Luke has worked for Stevens for a year and a half. He likes his job because he gets to drive around and see the state. He does the Boulder run and gets to see the beautiful flatirons. He also loves plants and the greenhouse environment. His mom owns a flower business, so Luke grew up around flowers. His favorite flower is a Dahlia. Luke is a very enthusiastic and inquisitive fellow and is always asking questions.

Employee Spotlight
This week we are highlighting the lovely Laurel. Laurel has worked at Stevens for 6 years. She just recently semi-retired from her position in sales to a part time position working in our hard goods department. Laurel adores her job because she loves flowers and the crew here at Stevens. The flowers that top her favorites list are Coxcomb and Orchids/Mokara. She is one of those crazy kids that loves the snow, and now that we are gearing up for the holidays and that yummy turkey dinner, I asked Laurel what special dish will be on her table...Pecan Squares. Yum! In her spare time she likes to throw...pottery that is, and spend time with her cat Jaz. Laurel is notorious for the constant mispronunciation of her name...Laura, Lauren, Laurie, Lau....

Free Spirit! This is a very flavorful rose-looks like orange sherbert. It is light orange with hot pink tips and a nice high petal count. Free Spirit smells fabulous and opens up nice and full. "It's heaven in a vase!" says Julie.

Lady's Slipper Orchid
We have this beautiful Lady's Slipper Orchid for sale. Dark red and lime green coloring makes it a great fall gift, and its pouch makes it very unique. Here is a fun fact: the Lady's Slipper is the state flower in Minnesota and the state wildflower in New Hampshire. What do you think?
